Mexican citizens with a master's or doctoral degree, or who are about to obtain it whose specialty is the history of Mexico's international relations, as well as foreigners residing and working or studying in higher education institutions In Mexico.
Modality: Short research stays in the United States.
Program duration: A maximum of two weeks.

Winners will receive $2,000.00 to cover transportation, accommodation, etc. costs during their one- to two-week stay at the University of Texas at Austin.

To qualify for this help you need to meet the following requirements:
- Be an active researcher and specialist in the history of international relations in Mexico or active student with a penchant for seeking a specialty in this field.
- Have an acceptable knowledge of the English language and present document proving it.
- Have experience in your field of work, backed by two researchers, institutions or government agencies.
You must also submit the following documentation:
- Have a passport valid for at least six months and a valid U.S. visa.
- Present extensive resume.
- Check that you have medical expense insurance with coverage abroad.
- Submit an electronic copy of recent publications and/or research.
- Display and record the following, as appropriate: checking the academic degree; date of examination of a degree or a presentation of the master's or doctorate thesis.
- Express in writing your willingness to go from one to two weeks at the University of Texas at Austin, a period in which you commit to carry out research work in the bibliographic, hemerographic and documentary funds of the Latin American Collection Nettie Lee Benson.
- Present a research project on the history of Mexico's international relations, to which will be incorporated the result of the work carried out at the University of Texas at Austin.
- Collect the unique registration format (FF-SRE-002) for the Short Research Stay Program, on the website: acervo.sre.gob.mx
- For foreigners residing in the Mexican Republic, accredit a working seniority of -at least three years in a higher education institution in Mexico.
