Hangar opens call for proposals to host at his residence to artists of any nationality who need services, accommodation and context offered by the Centre for the development of its project of research or artistic production.

residence of Hangar is located at the entrance of the industrial enclosure where the Center is located. The House has a ground floor and a first floor (80, 99 m 2 and 62,59 m2 respectively). Each floor has two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a living room and a kitchen. In addition, it has output to a garden.

artists housed in the residence have a double room for single use and share with another resident artist a kitchen and a bathroom.

these rooms are intended for artists, curators, and theorists of any age and nationality. Groups up to a maximum of four people.

disciplines: Visual Arts, sound experimentation, artistic research and projects interdisciplinars.

Hangar offers the following resources to the resident artists selected through this competition:

– accommodation.

-(optional) Workbench.

– free consultancy for the development of the project.

– dissemination of the project on the web, and organization of a public presentation.

– 20% discount on all services of production and rental of spaces and materials of Hangar.

resident artists selected through this competition will have to collaborate with the maintenance of the residence through a fee to cover the costs of electricity, water, Internet and wi-fi.

fees are:

– room only: 350 euros per month or 120 euros per week.

– accommodation and work table: 400 euros per month or 190 euros per week.

this call is to carry out residences during the first half of 2013 (January – June both included) that have a duration of one week to three months.

the application shall be made using the form on the web page of Hangar line.

the selection it carried out the Commission of programmes of Hangar along with members of the technical team of the Centre, taking into account the curriculum of the artist, the interest and the viability of the proposal, as well as the appropriateness of the project to the resources offered by Hangar and its network of collaborators.

the deadline for receiving applications is October 22, 2012.

the results of the selection will be released the first week of November 2012.
