Candidates for two scholarships seek to funded in part by the master in applied health research housed within the Department of Health Sciences of the University of York, to begin in October 2015. This master's degree in applied health research offers an ideal workout for anyone wanting to become a researcher in the field of applied health or for anyone wishing to develop a career in the health sector, where the ability to adopt a critical approach, based on tests for health problems and solutions is valued more and more. The course offers students an excellent base in applied health research methods, including systematic reviews, RCTs, epidemiology, statistics and qualitative methods. Teaching is directed by high-level personnel in the Department who are recognized experts in their fields and the vast majority of sessions of teaching takes place in small groups. The student will receive four scholarships of £1,250 paid every three months. For students on time partial figures will be adjusted accordingly.
