The Organization of American States (OAS) and the Coimbra group of Brazilian universities (GCUB), under the partnership programme for education and training, have decided to support outstanding individuals of the Americas through the auspices of academic scholarships for masters and PhD programmes in Brazilian universities.
this year the OAS and the GCUB join forces again to offer 160 academic scholarship opportunities to outstanding citizens of countries members of the OAS for master and doctoral studies at universities in the Brazil.
programs of master’s and doctoral degrees offered Brazilian educational institutions participating cover various fields of study, cutting-edge research and development of technologies appropriate to the realities and needs of Latin America and the Caribbean. In addition to the quality academic that offer them studies, the students foreign have also access to a community childcare, characterized by the tolerance and the diversity
coverage of tuition (cost of el program).
Contribution monthly for costs of subsistence equivalent to $1,200 BRL for master’s degrees and $1,800 BRL to doctorates.
A contribution only of $1,200 USD for expenses of transfer and accommodation, to grant is when the student is present in the Universidad for each one of them first 80 ranked (60 for MBA and 20 for doctorates.
Those benefits will be force by a maximum of up to 24 months for masters and 48 months for doctorates.
Access to studies of language Portuguese.
applicants must be national or legal permanent resident of any of the States members of the GS/OAS with the exception of nationals of Brazil; having undergraduate diploma / Bachelor’s degree to apply to graduate programs and masters degree to apply for doctoral programs. For students whose mother tongue is the Spanish, there is no requirement of the Portuguese competition. For those who their mother tongue is English or any other language other than the Spanish, must check that they have an intermediate level of Portuguese.
