objective: offer the opportunity to young professionals from the Member States of the OAS meet and work on the implementation of the mechanisms of the Inter-American system of human rights protection lawyers.

be a citizen of a Member State of the OAS;
Being bilingual in the languages English and Spanish (enclose certificate attesting it), knowledge of French or Portuguese desirable;
Graduated in law from an officially accredited University (send a copy of the title and qualifications obtained);
Having received the university diploma in law after January 1, 2005; (**)
Demonstrable professional interest in the legal area of human rights;
Be registered as an attorney before the courts or the corresponding trade union organization, and failing to indicate the cause; and
Submit a written work of up to five pages not edited by another person, on a topic of interest from the applicant in the field of human rights.
the IACHR provides a stipend of US$ 3,000.00 per month during the period covered by the grant, i.e. US$ 34,500.00 in total for 11 months and a half. With the stipend, the fellow is responsible for purchasing your choice health coverage for the duration of the scholarship period, must formally prove the aforementioned acquisition to the Executive Secretariat of the IACHR.
round-trip air tickets, economy class, from the place of residence of the fellow to Washington, DC., USA. To terminal dues and transit funds are not provided.
the IACHR will grant a certificate of participation in the scholarship program fellows who successfully meet the full duration of the scholarship period.
