Resolution of 25 January 2013, of the Secretary of State for education, vocational training and universities, which calls AIDS to participate in immersion in English language courses organised by the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo, aimed at graduates in master’s degree in Faculty of education compulsory secondary education, vocational training and teaching of languages and teachers.
many are the reasons that support the need to boost the learning of foreign languages. Reasons of cultural, educational, political and economic have led to the Council of Europe to consider objective for the whole of the students the knowledge of two foreign languages and to propose the common European framework of reference for languages: learning, teaching, assessment (CEFR) and the European Portfolio of languages (PEL), such as documents that promote and encourage multilingualismcultural diversity and mobility in Europe.
in this context, is a priority objective of the Ministry of education, culture and sport pay special attention to the teaching of foreign languages. To ensure the quality of this learning through effective teaching of foreign languages are not necessarily required a good initial and permanent teacher training.
considering that bilingual education is a fundamental objective of this Ministry, is particularly relevant to the training of teachers and teachers who have to teach it. These effects are oriented such aid, which convened for the first time in the year 2012 the Ministry of education, culture and sport specifically aimed at teachers and graduates at the master’s degree in Faculty of compulsory secondary education and secondary education, vocational training and teaching of languages.
the aim of these grants is to provide new teachers and those who have prepared for teaching a complement to their training in English language, through a course of total immersion in English a week in accommodation and full Board to provide them a greater fluidity in the use of language.
summon on a competitive basis, to 1,005 aid of 592,28 euros each to follow a course of language immersion in English, organized by the Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo (in later UIMP), for a maximum amount of 595.241,40 euros.
Podran eligible for these grants:
to) those who have completed the diploma or degree in any of the specialties in one of the following academic courses: 2011-2012, 2010-2011, or 2009-2010, with an average academic record, at least 8.00 mark points.
b) who have completed master’s degree studies in teachers of compulsory secondary education and secondary education, vocational training and teaching of languages, with a middle note in the master of, at least, 8.00 points in any of the following academic courses: 2011-2012, 2010-2011, and 2009-2010.
courses, specialized English in the areas of social sciences and English will have a duration of five days and will take place at boarding school from Sunday afternoon to Saturday at noon in the locations listed in the annex to this resolution and weekly periods also indicated. UIMP can adjust the offer of weeks and locations according to the demand of the applicants.
the individual amount of each aid shall be EUR 592,28 and the total amount will be paid directly by the Ministry of education, culture and sport to the UIMP and will be financed with charge to credit 18.07. 323 M 482.05 of the budget of this Ministry.
Additionally, in concept of reservation, applicants who are beneficiaries pay 100.00 euros to UIMP.
stakeholders who can show that an intermediate level or advanced knowledge of the English language, by means of the evaluation systems that set the UIMP and complying with the other requirements laid down by this resolution, should complete the request using the form accessible by internet at the address www.mecd.gob.es through the electronic Office of the Ministry of educationCulture and sport in the «Procedures and services» section. Once completed the application, will be presented by the telematic procedures established through the electronic office within the time limit that is set in paragraph 2 of this article.
the deadline for the submission of applications will be 20 working days counting from the day following publication of this resolution in the official bulletin of the State.
