The University of Malaga considered important for Latin American countries, the creation and strengthening of a “space Ibero-American knowledge” (EIC) which promote the research, development and innovation.
with the purpose of promoting research through the formation of students, the University of Málaga, through the International Center of graduate school and school of doctorate and the Vice President for communications and international projection, and in collaboration with the Iberoamerican University Postgraduate Association (AUIP), offers a scholarship program to encourage international mobility.
the program funded five grants for tuition, accommodation and Board for the realization of the doctoral thesis in University of Malaga, aimed at people linked to institutions in the Latin American context associated with the AUIP.
the aim of these grants is to encourage and facilitate cooperation of the University of Malaga relationships with institutions of higher education Ibero-American in the field of postgraduate studies; promote conventions of supervision between the University of Malaga and Latin American universities; facilitate the access of Latin American students to PhD official teachings adapted to the European higher education area (EHEA); contribute to the development of the quality of the postgraduate studies in Latin America by fostering the mobility of students, and facilitate the Exchange and collaboration between research groups of the Ibero-American universities.
can apply for these scholarships teachers, researchers, graduates and graduate students associated with Latin American universities associated with the AUIP interested in study with use during the academic year 2013-2014 to develop research tasks.
grants cover the rates of enrolment as doctoral student as well as the accommodation and maintenance during the year 2013-2014, for a maximum period of 9 months.
enrollment as a PhD from the University of Malaga, is intended to formalize the services of academic supervision for the elaboration of the thesis, at the request of the interested parties.
the mentioned status of PhD student in a given academic year, that is obtained through the aforementioned registration, is required to carry out the reading and respective doctoral thesis within the temporal scope of reference of this academic year.
the field of application is the official teachings of doctorate of the University of Malaga.
applicants who opt for scholarships must be in possession of the official Spanish degree degree, or equivalent, and Master’s degree (except exempt degrees) or the assumptions described in article 6 of the Royal Decree 99/2011 (http://www.boe.es/boe/dias/2011/02/10/pdfs/BOE-A-2011-2541.pdf), and meet the requirements of academic of the program of doctorate Committee corresponding.
also may apply for the scholarship who are in possession of a diploma obtained in accordance with foreign educational systems outside the European area of higher education, without its approval, but after verification that the title credited a training level equivalent to the corresponding Spanish titles of Master’s degree and that empowers the country issuing the title access to doctoral studies. This admission does not imply, in any case, the approval of the previous title that is in possession, the person concerned, or his recognition to other effects than the teachings of doctoral study. Also, they must be able to meet the conditions of access to doctorates for those applying for scholarships.
Finally, may also apply for these scholarships who are already doing a doctoral program at the University of Malaga, being enrolled in the same.
applicants must be residents abroad and be linked, in some way, to institutions of higher education associated with the AUIP, and count with the express approval of this institution. The institution must be informed of the payment of the AUIP.
the term ends June 7.
