UNESCO Etxea offers 1 scholarship to attend personally and report from the Río+20 Summit, to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 20 to 22 June 2012.

the winner will join the team of UNESCO Etxea in Rio de Janeiro.

scholarship is aimed at people aged 18 to 30 with a desire to know and communicate the role that civil society plays in international summits, as well as to monitor the negotiations that occur between the Governments in Rio + 20.

what the scholarship offer?

Accreditation to the Conference of the UN with UNESCO Etxea.
Air transport in economy class between the major airport closest to the residence of the winner and Rio of Janeiro, Brazil, approximately 19 June 2012 to 23 June 2012.
Accommodation.
Cost of land transport in Rio and maintenance up to a maximum of 40 €per day.
Travel insurance.
Laptop netbook and a vídeo-foto camera to use during your stay

What are the requirements to apply for the scholarship?

You are between 18 and 30 years.
You are registered / in the Basque country.
You have great interest in the environment and sustainable development (ideally, you’re already writing or working on these topics).
You write and speak in a clear, creative and attractive style.
You speak good English and Basque.
Will be assessed positively the collaboration or membership of social organizations (NGOs, etc.)
