The Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism seeks candidates for its programme of fellowships for three, six or nine years. 2013-2014 Reuters journalism fellowships will be conducted at the University of Oxford. The scholarships are aimed at journalists from anywhere in the world who are mid-career.
stakeholders must have a minimum of five years experience in any area of journalism and an adequate level of spoken and written English. The program allows visiting journalists from around the world doing research at Oxford for a period of three, six or nine months.
Fellows will have the opportunity to reflect on their profession, research a topic of their choice (under the supervision of a professor specializing in that area), and enjoy the academic, cultural and social life of the University of Oxford.
this program does not grant a Bachelor’s degree, but it is expected that Fellows, write a full research work with quality to be publishable. Fellows will complete an academic work for publication between 10,000 words, giving preference to projects within the areas of focus of the Institute: the business of journalism, the evolution of the practice of journalism and the relations between journalism and accountability.
