THE country offers this year the Ortega y Gasset awards for journalism, in order to select the best journalistic work from the year 2014 in the categories of print journalism, digital journalism, photojournalism and best career, as set out below:
to) the category 'Printed journalism' rewards, according to criteria of quality and journalistic rigor, the best work published in 2014 was originally in Spanish in a media form.
b) category 'Digital journalism' rewards, according to criteria of quality and journalistic rigor, the best work published in 2014, originally in Spanish, in a means of online communication.
c) 'Photojournalism' category awards, in accordance with criteria of quality and journalistic rigor, best photography posted in 2014 in a medium of communication, either printed or digital.
d) the category "Best career", according to criteria of quality and journalistic rigor, rewards the best journalistic career, in view of the merits achieved by the participants.
can participate in the awards any physical person, over 18, that resides anywhere in the world and that is linked to the world of journalism. Equally eligible legal entities that meet the same requirements of residence and linkage to journalism. Participation is free and can be done by sending the documents required below, and in accordance with the following third base.
the period of participation in the awards will begin on Thursday, January 8, 2015 and will end on Friday, March 13, 2015 (both included). For the category digital journalism, which involves online participation, all entries received within these dates will be considered within time. For the other categories, which require the sending of documentation by mail, all entries received by the country through postal mail certified during those dates will be considered within time. Those shares that occur prior to or subsequent to the dates outlined above, although the access to participate were available or the country had accepted the delivery of the shipment by postal mail shall not be taken into account.
