The University of Lausanne (UNIL) summons 20 scholarships to students from around the world to conduct research in one of the laboratories of the Faculty of biology and medicine, for a period of eight weeks between July and August 2015.
scholarship takes place mainly in the laboratory, although each week students gather to perform common academic activities, often with participants in the program of the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL). These activities consist of presentations, lectures of professors on research topics and their career paths and career guidance workshops.
at the end of the summer, the students will present their research findings at a symposium organized by both institutions (UNIL / EPFL) and drafted a final report.
the program is aimed at students who are completing the second or third year of their degree, of any nationality and to study in any country, with high knowledge of English. The endowment of scholarships is 1,500 Swiss francs to cover the living expenses. The accommodation is one of the buildings of the Fondation Maisons pour étudiants Lausanne (FMEL), single room with shared bathroom and kitchen. There are also funds to cover travel to Lausanne, up to 500 francs to travel from Europe and 1,200 for travel from other countries. In addition, assistance will be provided to all students who need visas to settle in Switzerland.
