Foundation Antonio Gala annually announces the vacancies for accommodation and Board for young artists aged between eighteen and twenty-five years in Spanish language. The fundamental objective of these grants is to train them in the idea that everyone should be enhanced with coexistence, and that within the Foundation can “live to work without having to work for a living”, an idea of the writer Antonio Gala, which has been finally fulfilled with the start up project that bears his name. the purpose of this call is, support and promote the creative work of young artists in different modalities. These scholarships have as main purpose the coexistence between different branches of the world of art and culture, thus promoting the mutual enrichment; i.e. the cross-pollination: support, essence and purpose of the Fundación Antonio Gala for young artists.

the objective is to provide young promising path in their respective disciplines (narrative, poetry, theatre, musical composition, painting, sculpture…), the development of a project during the academic year 2013-2014.

La Fundación Antonio Gala for young creators, hereinafter the Foundation, calls for this same period a special square, dedicated to research on some particular aspect of the work and figure of Antonio Gala.

Podran opt creators and researchers of any nationality, with the essential requirement of speaking Spanish and have between 18 and 25 years old, both including the last day of the time of this call.

scholarship includes the stay at the headquarters of the Foundation (Cordoba, Spain) from October 2013 until June 2014, with the exception of two weeks during the Christmas period (December-January) and the public holidays of Easter, that will be closed.

during the course, the residents will be devoted exclusively to the development of the project that were elected, and must, except for cause exceptional and justified, remain in the headquarters of the Foundation.

residents carry out their project without teachers or specialized tutors. However, eventually they will receive the support of mentors of recognized prestige in different areas of the creation.

accommodation and maintenance, as well as material and clearances necessary so that residents can develop their creative work, shall be borne by the Foundation. Set the economic limit dedicated to working material of each resident the Trustees subject to budgetary availability.

Foundation shall make a follow-up of the fulfilment of the objectives of the scholarship, the development of each project and the obligations of beneficiaries related to their life in the Foundation, and therefore reserves the right cancel the grant to any resident in the event that these objectives and obligations are not complying.

convened scholarships are eighteen (18), although the Foundation reserves the right to award them all or only part of them.
