Journalists interested in learning more about the coverage of issues related to lung health may apply for this scholarship. The National Press Foundation is offering one full scholarship (with all expenses paid) for a six day program for journalists who want to learn about health issues with specialty in lungs and also cover the 43rd World Conference on Tuberculosis and lung health, will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in November. The deadline to register is July 23.
the Conference will address issues related to lung health, such as tuberculosis and HIV, asthma, child pneumonia and tobacco control. The attending journalists will learn about these diseases, the impact of the problems that generate and new research, solutions and innovations that are carried out.
scholarships will cover the costs of travel by plane and train, as needed, accommodation, transportation, some meals and a daily stipend. Selected journalists must have at least three years of experience in the coverage of health issues.
applicants should have a level of advanced English. The deadline to register is July 23 at 5 pm EST. Only online applications will be accepted.
training will take place from 12 to 14 November and journalists will participate in the Conference until November 17.
