Carolina Foundation opens a new scholarship program to facilitate and promote the expansion of studies of university graduates as well as the specialization and updating knowledge of postgraduate students, teachers, researchers, artists and professionals from Latin American countries members of the Ibero-American community of Nations and Portugal.
for the academic year 2014-2015, the training activities of the Fundación Carolina is articulated through five types of scholarships: postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral short, entrepreneurship, mobility of Brazilian teachers and Complutense summer school.
the number of scholarships and grants offered in the training program for the 2014-2015 call amounts to 523, which are broken down as follows:
325 scholarships graduate (309 new call scholarships) and 16 scholarship renewals
101 scholarships PhD and short stays post-doctoral (25 PhD scholarships, 51 renovations of doctorate and 25 short postdoctoral fellowships)
34 professors Brazilians of mobility grants
13 scholarships of entrepreneurship
50 the Complutense summer school scholarships
postgraduate scholarships are aimed at training in Spain’s national graduates of a member country of the Ibero-American community of Nations, with academic or professional capacity backed by an outstanding resume.
program offers two types of support: scholarships and grants to study. The main difference between both types of aid is in the different economic contribution which, in each case, assume the Foundation, Spanish, academic institutions and the own fellow.
Furthermore, the PhD scholarships are aimed at encouraging the obtaining of the academic degree of doctor among teachers of the universities of Latin America associated with the FC, while short postdoctoral fellowships aim to complete the training the teachers from these schools postdoctoral.
La Fundación Carolina has decided to include in its regulations offer a new form of entrepreneurship scholarships targeting national graduates of a member country of the Ibero-American community of Nations, with academic and professional capacity backed by an outstanding resume. This area is composed of two major programs:
programme for entrepreneurship and videogames: summon three scholarships in order to learn everything about the video game industry. The goal is to create, design, and programming a video game as a final project.
Telefónica Talentum program: summon ten scholarships in order to open doors to young university talent and to provide the tools and support needed to foster participation in the creation of a new digital world.
on the other hand, permanent training scholarships for Brazilian faculty mobility aim to promote cultural and scientific cooperation between Brazil and Spain, favouring the exchange of professionals.
these scholarships are addressed to teachers of universities and researchers in research organisations and allow to make a short stay in a university or research centre Spanish and teachers of Spanish universities to study short research at a university or research centre Brazilian. The duration of the stay is one month minimum and maximum of three months, although the Evaluation Committee reserves the right to limit the stay of the applicant according to the activities to be carried out.
Finally, the Complutense summer school scholarships are aimed at training in Spain’s national graduates of a member country of the Ibero-American community of Nations, who want to travel to Spain and exchange academic and professional knowledge for a short period of time and to imbue in monographic form in innovative and cutting-edge issues in different areas of interest.
