The Conference of Rectors of the public universities of Madrid (CRUMA) made public the third call for research stays at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, in collaboration with the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and Banco Santander, in accordance with the following rules.
summon five research stays at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofia during the period of October 1, 2013 to 2014 October 1, with one of them stays in any institution of Latin America agreed with the investigator and research.
to apply for these rooms, candidates must meet the following requirements:
to) documents demonstrate a professional profile, as a researcher, artist or teacher, directed to one or more of the following lines of work:
analysis and/or proposal of methods and Poetics of critical intervention in contemporary culturewith emphasis on the postcolonial debate and the globalization, gender and new manifestations of intelligence and action collective policies.
analysis and/or creation of Latin American cultural and artistic reality from different perspectives: definitions alternative and resistant to modernity “of the North”, poetic and political activation of the artistic legacy of the Latin American art and the construction of new subjectivities in the global scenario.
exploration of modes of production, management and interpretation of information and documentation on file new cultures, as well as research of modes of sharing information on open networks.
research of the documentary resources of contemporary Spanish and international art, with emphasis on those who, well, are part of the Museum documentation centre, or that would be part of the same.
exploration of new teaching modes and/or analysis of the educational dimension of the own research or artistic.
b) present a research project to develop during the stay, whose description does not exceed 3,000 words.
c) present a public activity and project seminar for the students of the center of studies of the museum community to perform during the stay. Both the public activity and the seminar will be organized in coordination with the Department of cultural programs at the Museo Reina Sofia and, where appropriate, with the institution of Latin America in which the stay takes place.
the end of organised stays is the lead research and participation in a process of reflection by the availability of bibliographic and documentary resources of the Museum Reina Sofía, as well as participation in the nuclei of research related to the programmes of the Centre of studies of the Museum.
enjoy these stay does not imply any contractual or statutory relationship establishment, nor will mean labor or civil service link between the beneficiary of the same and the Museum Reina Sofía.
the prize of every research stay is six thousand euros (6,000 euros) gross, which will be used by the beneficiary to the coverage of the costs of travel, accommodation and meals. The payment to the beneficiary of the amount of the stay will be made only in a current account in Banco Santander.
stays will have a duration of two (2) months, not renewable. The specific start date will be set by mutual agreement between the beneficiary of the stay and the Museum Reina Sofia and also in its case with the institution of Latin America, between October 1, 2013 to October 1, 2014. The development will be continued from the agreed start date.
be provided to the beneficiary of the stay the infrastructure for the conduct of research in the facilities of the Museum Reina Sofia and will encourage your participation in the activities of its various areas. In the case of developing an institution of Latin America, such a relationship would be promptly agreed with it.
the deadline for submission of applications will be on June 30, 2013 inclusive, date from which the post office postmark will give faith.
to the request should be accompanied by the following documentation:
to) a photocopy of the passport or national identity document, certifying personality and nationality of the applicant.
b) Curriculum vitae of no more than 3 pages showing profile professional of the applicant, accompanied by a copy of the documents that justify the reviewed merits.
c) research project to develop during the stay, pursuant to the base 2.b. of this call. The project should not exceed 3,000 words.
d) project seminar and public activity during your stay, in accordance with the base 2.c. this call. The project will be described in a maximum of 3 pages.
e) any extra attached material shall be delivered in electronic format, on support DVD.
