The University-Enterprise Foundation Announces the second edition of EA Campus, which will be held in Madrid from April 1 to May 24, 2013 and has like objective to train 40 young people as future linguistic testers.

a linguistic tester is in charge of ensuring the quality of all text, both oral and written, appearing in a video game. Among its responsibilities is the review and verification of correct readability of the names in the credits, the use of the words suitable for every context, the correspondence of the text with the image, dubbing, and suitable terminology of the game.

the initiative, promoted by the multinational Electronic Arts, a leader in interactive entertainment, the University-Business Foundation and the Francisco de Vitoria University software, is aimed at young people over 18 with a minimal training of high school, interest in new technologies and the industry of video games, and high level of English.

interested in participating in the program must be native in German, Czech, Danish, Spanish, French, Dutch, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian or Swedish, and having any of the following nationalities: German, Austrian, Brazilian, Czech, Danish, Spanish, French, Dutch, Hungarian, Italian, Mexican, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian or Swedish.

in the selection process is valued also aspects such as: skills and language skills; previous experience in international environments (studies, practices, work,…); capacity for analysis and resolution of problems; communication skills; attention to detail; management of software / hardware joint; teamwork.

the selected candidates, who will receive a bag of aid to the study of 300 euros gross per month, will follow a program of training in-company focused on products and business lines EA, complemented by specific training in professional skills.

at the end of the program, which is taught entirely in English, participants will receive a training certificate issued by the University Francisco de Vitoria. Those who have demonstrated a greater use will have the opportunity to join Electronic Arts work.

EA Campus 2013 will take place at the Madrid headquarters of Electronic Arts from April 1 to May 24, 2013, in morning (10.00 – 14.00 hours) or afternoon (15.00 – 19.00 hours).
