Creative encounters between Asia and Europe is an initiative that aims to support artistic projects of collaboration and networking within the framework of the dialogue between Asia and Europe.
the Foundation Asia-Europe (ASEF), Asia network and the Arts (ANA) and the European network of Trans Europe Halles will jointly promote this initiative for actions organized between October 1, 2012 and on November 30, 2013.
ASEF, ANA and TEH have maintained an active role in the promotion of connectivity and participation in all cultures through artistic collaboration, exchanges and dialogues. Through this program they are intended to strengthen trade between Asia and Europe with the objective of deepening mutual understanding among the cultural communities in two regions.
ASEF, ANA and TEH encouraged organizations to submit multilateral projects involving more partners and participants from countries of ASEM (Asia Europe Meeting) to reflect the diversity between the two regions.
support for each project will be up to USD 25,000. The selected projects are expected to obtain additional financing, sponsorship or in-kind contribution of other partners or sponsors.
this initiative includes the following criteria for your consideration:
art projects / creative that facilitate collaboration, dialogue and exchanges between Asia and Europe.
Network projects that offer opportunities to establish contacts and promote the initiative of collaborative platform to share the common interests of the network and benefit from a wider audience.
Projects in any discipline of contemporary arts (e.g., performing arts, Visual Arts, literary arts, film, new media) or interdisciplinary projects.
Projects involving more partners and participants from countries of ASEM (Asia-Europe meeting1)
content should reflect the cultural diversity of Asia and Europe with the objective of showing the different perspectives of the two regions.
applicants must be of the ASEM (Asia Europe Meeting1) countries and projects must take place in ASEM countries.
the deadline for submission of requests ends on July 31, 2012.
