Ada Byron Award for Women in Technology



The Ada Byron Mexico Prize launches its call for Mexican women who excel in the field of science and technology.

This recognition began in 2014, celebrating the figure of one of the most outstanding women in Engineering, Ada Byron. In Spain it is celebrated for the sixth time and in Mexico, it is the first edition.

The goal is to give visibility to professional women who carry out jobs that are worth knowing in the area of engineering and technology.

Requirements to participate in the Ada Byron Mexico Award

Only those who:

  • They're Mexican nationals.
  • Women.
  • Make them of legal age.
  • Also, have a degree in science or technology. Or, have made a career in those areas.

Enrollment in the Ada Byron Mexico Award may be made by the same candidate or by third parties.

How to make a record

The nomination for the award for the female technologist of Mexico is held on the platform of August 2019 at 22 hs., Mexico time. While the awards ceremony will be held on November 07.

Scholarship benefits

The award is awarded internationally by the University of Deusto, with the support of Universidad Iberoamericana CDMX, Ibero Puebla, Microsoft and AT&T. With this award you will be awarded MXN $60,000 to the winner, in a ceremony to be held in Puebla.

These are the requirements to apply for

Applications will be submitted exclusively electronically, by filling in the electronic form, on the official website of the Ada Byron Chapter Mexico Award before August 31, 2019 at 22:00 hours.

Mandatory documentation to attach:

  • A resume specifying the following sections:
  • Training/education, with a limit of 1 page.
  • Professional development, with a limit of 2 pages.
  • A free-for-reason card: why should I be the winner of this award? 1-page limit.
  • Optionally, you can include the link to a video for submitting the application
    lasting no longer than 3 minutes.

The 10 finalists may be required to accredit the information provided.
