Scholarships to make a master's degree in Chile for Latino professionals



Promoted by the Agency for International Cooperation of Chile (AGCI), these scholarships offer the possibility of conducting Master studies in Chile and/ or specialization, in universities or other institutions of higher education, located in Chile.

The program is aimed at Latin American professionals, nationals of: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Panama, Dominican Republic, and CARICOM member countries.

Selection process.

The process will be done in two (2) stages:

  • Preselection: will be made by a joint selection committee composed of members of the "focal point" and the Embassy of Chile.

  • Selection: will be in charge of a Program Selection Committee in Chile.

Scholarship benefits

The aid is granted for a maximum of twenty-four (24) months and includes:

  • Payment of the fee, tuition and titling costs, for the duration of the program.

  • Monthly maintenance allowance: CLP $500,000.

  • Life, health and accident insurance.

  • Allocation for purchase of study materials: CLP $90,000.

  • A monetary allocation for thesis-making expenses.

The program does not cover transfer costs to Chile, visa aid and others.

These are the requirements to apply for

Nominations for the 2020 call must be submitted in two (2) copies, in:

  • The Government Institution responsible for grant management, which will be the "focal point".

  • The headquarters of the Chilean Embassy located in the candidate's country.

In addition, applicants must carry out the admission procedures at a Chilean university directly.

The documents to be submitted are:

  • Application form.

  • As well as, letter of acceptance at a Chilean university.

  • Sponsorship letter.

  • Also, an academic reference letter.

  • Health certificate.

  • Certificate of professional degree.

  • Curriculum vitae.

  • Other.
